Dr. Bonnie Sophia-Maria Rose, ND, MS, CTN, is a nationally board-certified naturopathic doctor, clinician, author, educator, and researcher whose work bridges traditional natural medicine with contemporary inquiry into human health, healing, and transformation.
For more than 30 years, Dr. Rose has maintained a private natural-health practice devoted to understanding the underlying biochemical and metabolic patterns that may contribute to chronic and complex illness.
Over 21 years with Trace Elements International. Her clinical work incorporates laboratory analysis through Trace Elements HTMA Lab Testing and emphasizes nutritional and mineral metabolism, environmental toxicology, neurological health, inflammation, pain, and the biochemical relationships that are too often overlooked when attention is focused solely on a diagnostic label.
While working towards more advanced degrees; The first decade of her professional work in the 90's, on weekends, also included creating and operating a back yard & converted garage studio, little school of natural health designed to bring serious natural-health education to everyday people.
The school incorporated monastery-style organic teaching gardens and shelves of Organic Herbs containing more than 400 varieties of herbs and a working apothecary where students learned botanical medicine through direct experience. Students worked in the gardens and studied herbs, medicinal oils, and traditional forms of natural medicine using the living materials themselves as part of their education.
Dr. Rose's extensive botanical background includes advanced study in botanical chemistry and aromatherapy, along with training and experience as a Master Herbalist and Apothecary Master. Her education in natural health, nutritional medicine, herbalism, aromatherapy, and the biochemical foundations of health has informed decades of investigation into the complex relationships among nutrition, mineral balance, environmental toxicants, neurological function, inflammation, pain, and chronic illness.
Her professional perspective is also profoundly personal.
After thirteen ICU-level hospitalizations during a prolonged battle with an incurable cancer, multiple life-threatening medical crises, two blood transfusions, and ultimately preparations for hospice, Dr. Rose survived against extraordinary odds. The disease caused extensive damage to her face, and reconstructive surgery was anticipated.
Drawing upon her Christian faith, her knowledge of natural medicine, and what she calls "God's medicine," Dr. Rose pursued a deeply personal path of healing and recovery. Her remarkable comeback—and the healing of facial damage once expected to require extensive reconstruction—fundamentally shaped the clinician, researcher, educator, and author she is today.
Having experienced critical illness, hospitals, medications, medical procedures, and the profound vulnerability of being a seriously ill patient from the inside, Dr. Rose brings to her work a perspective that cannot be acquired through academic study alone. Her writing reflects both sides of medicine: decades spent investigating health professionally and years spent experiencing serious disease as the patient herself.
And a deep understanding of 'ongoing toxins' such as how many medications and therapies can be caustic and leave the patient with 'underlying conditions' that are not truly or deeply evaluated in the recovery process, leaving ongoing damage, trauma and inability to fully heal. Especially toxic hospital scans which contain Uranium, and other Heavy Metals. Or Bismuth to correct the ulcers created by many medications for pain and other care while in the critical state, that do not simply go away or process out of the body.
Writing and published newspaper and magazine articles, since she was in her early 20's. She also has Working on books all of her adult life, a long slow process, she is working to author an expanding library of books spanning natural-health education, pain and inflammation, parasites, whole-body restoration, botanical medicine, personal transformation, contemplation, spirituality, and the intersection of ancient healing wisdom with emerging science.
Dr. Rose's professional Blue Book collection "Healing God's Creations with God's Creations" was created to provide readers with substantive and accessible health education while preserving the depth of clinical reasoning behind her work. Her public-facing books, journals, and transformational writings extend that mission beyond the clinical setting, encouraging readers to become informed and active participants in understanding their own health and lives.
Whether she is writing about the biochemistry of the human body, the wisdom preserved within traditional natural medicine, or the deeper dimensions of faith and personal transformation, Dr. Rose's work returns to a central conviction: meaningful healing begins with understanding—and knowledge can change the course of a life.
